Halifax, NS - KBRS is pleased to welcome Joanne Brown to the Firm’s Human Resource Consulting practice.
As an Associate, Joanne’s focus is on working with organizations to design, develop and implement HR systems and processes to achieve their goals. Joanne has more than two decades of HR leadership experience within prominent Nova Scotia organizations. She began her career with Farmers Cooperative Dairy where she held progressively senior roles including VP of Human Resources. She later joined High Liner Foods Inc. where she became the Executive Vice President of HR and led numerous strategic HR initiatives during a period of rapid growth. Most recently, Joanne was Head of HR, Shared Services for Pepper Financial Services Group, a fast-growing global financial services organization.
Joanne joins a diverse team of skilled professionals who comprise the Firm’s HR Consulting practice including Consultants Tony Case PhD, Catherine J. Woodman, Sonya Smithers, Michelle Fitzgerald, Heather Peters, Wendy Jones, and Lloyd Powell. Together, they help organizations optimize the performance of their teams through a wide array of specialities including: leadership coaching and development, talent assessment, strategic planning, change management, compensation consulting, employee and labour relations, and HR policy design and development.
Joanne has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dalhousie University as well as a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Human Resources from Saint Mary’s University. She has a Certificate in Organizational Development from Queen’s University and she completed the Driving Performance Through Talent Management program with Harvard Executive Education. Joanne is a certified Leadership Coach through The Coach Training Academy working towards her ICF designation. She is also certified in Myers Briggs and Fibro B assessment tools.
