KBRS is pleased to have assisted Engineers Nova Scotia in the appointment of DS (Pal) Mann as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer, effective February 3, 2020.

Andre Veinotte, P.Eng., President of Engineers Nova Scotia, is pleased to announce the selection of DS (Pal) Mann, P.Eng., MDS, CD, as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer. Pal will be assuming his new role on February 3, 2020. Pal has also been appointed as Registrar and Secretary, effective the same date. He will be replacing Len White, MBA, CPA, CGA, P.Eng., who served in those positions since January 2001.
After a 33-year career as an army officer with the Royal Canadian Engineers, Pal joined the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta in March 2015 as the Director of Corporate Services. In 2017, Pal moved into the position of Director of Professional Practice responsible for the development and maintenance of Professional Practice Standards and Guidelines, the administration of the Continuing Professional Development Program, and the conduct of Professional Practice Reviews.
Engineers Nova Scotia is the licensing and regulatory body for the over 7,000 professional engineers and engineers-in training who live in Nova Scotia or who practice engineering on projects located here. In his new role as Chief Executive Officer, in addition to his duties as Registrar and Secretary, Pal will be responsible for the strategic management and leadership of the Association.
