Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette is pleased to have assisted St. Thomas University with the appointment of their first female president, Dawn Russell. Dawn is an alumna of the university and has maintained a deep connection to the institution since her days as a student.
A native of Chatham Head, New Brunswick, Dawn earned her bachelor of arts from St.Thomas University and a bachelor of laws from Dalhousie Law School. She subsequently earned a masters degree in international law from Cambridge University. In addition to being a law professor, she was dean of the Dalhousie Law School for ten years, and has been an associate lawyer with Stewart McKelvey Stirling Scales.
“Dawn is a scholar, an academic leader, and a relationship builder. Her passion for liberal arts education and understanding of our history, as well as her proven ability to articulate and implement a strategic vision promise great things for St. Thomas,” says Andrea Seymour, chair of the board of governors.
Please join us in congratulating Dawn and welcoming her to St. Thomas University.
