Dennis Phillips Named Head of Sacred Heart School of Halifax

KBRS is pleased to have assisted Sacred Heart School of Halifax in the appointment of Dennis Phillips as Head of School, effective August 1, 2022.

A dynamic educational leader, Dennis previously held the role of Head of School of The Regis School of the Sacred Heart. Within his 8 years at the Houston-based branch, he successfully executed a five-year planning initiative, which enhanced the overall operational performance of the school. His commitment to Sacred Heart’s values helped strengthen relationships with the greater community and raised enrollment rates by 15%.

Reporting to the Board of Governors at Sacred Heart School of Halifax, Dennis acts as academic, administrative, and strategic leader. Academically, he works to champion the advancement of Sacred Heart as an educational institution and ensures the promotion of a balanced curriculum. As an administrative leader, Dennis creates clear plans of action and engagement, while managing the budget and infrastructure of Sacred Heart. Drawing from his experience, he works closely with the Board of Governors, to provide strategic leadership to translate the values of Sacred Heart in all plans to reflect the modern, evolving world.

Dennis holds a master's degree in Pastoral Counselling from Loyola University in Chicago, completed coursework at Washington Theology Union and Catholic Theology Union, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environmental Science from Northeastern Illinois University.

Dennis moved to Halifax this year, along with his wife Lisa, to accept the role of Head of School and both are pleased to have been welcomed so warmly by the community.
