The Opportunity

Building upon 211 Nova Scotia’s strong reputation and foundation, the organization seeks to deepen impact across the province as a strategic partner to government and a champion for the non-profit sector.  The 211 Nova Scotia Board of Directors is seeking an inspiring Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to assume the helm of a trusted and respected organization, shaping 211 Nova Scotia’s future and expanding the organization’s value across Nova Scotia.

As CEO, you will spearhead 211 Nova Scotia’s strategic direction and lead a dedicated team of passionate professionals, ensuring that 211 continues to deliver exceptional services while fostering innovation and growth.  You will foster an inclusive work culture, ensuring staff feel valued and supported. Overseeing the organization’s budget, you will ensure ongoing and diverse funding for long-term sustainability. You will maintain and grow strong relationships with funders, government, and community leaders to underscore 211Nova Scotia’s role as a leader, advocate and enabler the in social sector. As the organization’s public face, you will advocate for 211 Nova Scotia’s mission and amplify awareness across the province.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Strategic leadership
  • Program and operational planning and management
  • Human resources planning and management
  • Financial planning
  • Community relations and advocacy
  • Risk management

Ideal Candidate Profile

As the ideal candidate, you are a seasoned leader with experience in complex organizations, excelling in operations, finance, and team management. You understand non-profit funding models, governance, and strategy, navigating internal and external factors that shape success. A passionate advocate for serving those in need, you drive change, build buy-in, and foster strong partnerships across government, community, and private sectors. With political acumen and a forward-thinking approach, you identify growth and funding opportunities to ensure sustainability.
