Vice President, Warehousing

In 2021 Armour was acquired by Seaboard Transportation Group, becoming one of Canada’s largest diversified transportation companies. Among its many offerings, Armour has a significant warehousing and distribution business with nearly 1 million square feet of warehousing space.
Reporting to the President of the Group, the Vice President, Warehousing provides strategic leadership and ensures oversight of warehousing operations across four line-haul terminals in Toronto, Moncton, Dartmouth, and St. John’s. The Vice President, Warehousing also plays a key role in client relations, providing high-level account management services to Armour’s largest clients while working collaboratively to identify new opportunities to expand services and customer base. Ultimately, the Vice President leads a team of over 200 in ongoing efforts to optimize the abilities of people, processes and technology to elevate Armour’s customer experience and ensure maximum efficiency in growing the business.
*Please note: this role can be based in Toronto, Moncton or Greater Halifax with travel between terminals.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient management of terminals, including all logistics for storage, inventory management and distribution operations
- Own warehousing P&L and budget management, while identifying effective cost management practices
- Lead the setting and tracking of KPIs in alignment with our corporate strategy
- Manage critical customer relationships with larger accounts
- Ensure the highest standards for compliance, safety and continuous improvement
- Lead the continued growth of Armour’s warehousing business
As the ideal candidate you are:
- A senior leader with a robust background in modern, large-scale warehousing. Exposure to transportation and customs regulations is considered an asset
- Skilled in high-level account management and customer relationship management
- Experienced in maximizing warehouse management systems and driving automation
- Committed to the highest safety standards, particularly in environments handling controlled goods
- Ideally experienced in complex, cross-border and highly regulated environments
- Passionate about growth and excited to bring operational expertise to an expanding company
