Partners for Care (PFC) is a positive and progressive force for strengthening the healthcare ecosystem in Nova Scotia. PFC is a nonprofit services partner of Nova Scotia Health with a mission to partner with businesses to improve healthcare and make life easier for patients, health providers, and communities across Nova Scotia.

PFC is seeking a Chief Program Officer (CPO) to oversee the research, design, development, growth and expansion of Partners for Care programs, with a primary focus on launching the Lumia Health program across Nova Scotia. With a highly focused and entrepreneurial mindset, you will establish the overall operations of Lumia Health and all other Partners for Care programs by developing a masterclass operational framework and will oversee all aspects of its execution.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, in collaboration with the executive management team, you will fulfill the vision of the organization through the implementation of programs in alignment with the strategic plan to ensure the mission, goals, and objectives are achieved with lasting impact.

Ideal Candidate Profile

As the ideal candidate, you are drawn to complexity, challenge and momentous impact. You possess senior leadership experience, preferably in creating complex programs, their delivery and associated operations within the health, nonprofit, public or business sectors. With adept business and financial acumen, you have a track record of success in creating and implementing a broad range of programs and operational frameworks to ensure financial sustainability and long-term impact. Strategic and innovative, you think creatively to foster and identify beneficial partnerships and create impactful programs that align business objectives with community needs. Your strong understanding of the national healthcare landscape and its partners, including a broad knowledge of healthcare policies and legislation impacting the delivery and future of healthcare within the province is considered an asset.

A highly resourceful and agile self-starter, you naturally work independently and readily adapt to rapid change in a tactical, decisive manner within an evolving environment. You welcome the opportunity to forge this inaugural role building pathways and frameworks for the successful creation and delivery of programs and services. You are a skilled problem solver and navigate complex challenges with ease, by building buy-in and support for your ideas as you navigate and identify solutions. You demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills to confidently engage, build, and maintain relationships with a broad range of partners. Technologically savvy, you are highly skilled in navigating digital platforms, software and advanced programs, bringing cutting-edge insights, fostering innovation, and ensuring seamless integration of advanced technological solutions to drive organizational success. You are a passionate and empathetic leader who believes in the importance of supporting and collaborating with your team to achieve the full potential while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where everyone thrives.
