The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (The Friends Foundation) is the philanthropic arm of The Moncton Hospital. The Friends Foundation inspires giving to fund new technologies, innovation, and renovated spaces. This helps to place the right tools in the hands of highly competent team of healthcare professionals strengthening patient care.


The Friends Foundation is seeking a President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic and operational leadership to staff and volunteers in carrying out the organization’s mission and strategic priorities and to work with the Board of Directors to chart the course for the future of the Friends Foundation.


Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and guidance for all of the Friends Foundation’s staff, operations, and activities. You will work in collaboration with the Board to lead the renewal and implementation of the vision and strategic plan of the organization. You will capably steward the organization’s fundraising initiatives, manage the budget, lead and engage the Friends Foundation’s team, and, as a passionate ambassador, you will foster collaboration and continued partnership with the Friends Foundation’s key partners to ensure the long-term success of the organization.


Ideal Candidate Profile

As the ideal candidate, you are a highly credible, proven leader and manager, ideally with experience in fundraising or fund development from within the non-profit sector, charitable or philanthropic organizations. You have a track record of success in providing both strategic and operational direction as a member of a senior leadership team. You bring experience working with boards, effectively leading teams and managing budgets. An understanding of the current challenges and opportunities within the healthcare sector in the Atlantic provinces, or Canada more broadly, would be considered an asset.


You are highly visionary with demonstrated experience in developing innovative and strategic solutions for an organization. Results-oriented and accountable, you have a reputation for getting things done and an ability to take an initiative from concept to completion implementing a clear project management philosophy and level of accountability within your team. You are an experienced communicator with well-developed political acumen which enables you to effectively engage with and navigate a variety of audiences, situations and environments. Above all, your positive management style, combined with your business management aptitude and your proven ability to build strong, lasting relationships with a range of organizational partners and donors qualifies you for this exciting opportunity.
