ABM is searching for their first Chief Operating Officer to join their Executive Team, reporting to the President. Here is a chance to make your mark on a thriving service-industry company grown in NS and spreading across the country.

As the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible to:

  • Provide sound overall management of all functions peripheral to operations through effective leadership and prudent financial management;
  • Collaborate with the President to develop strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and measure progress by implementing and monitoring proper KPI’s;
  • Manage operational budgets and expenses and oversee the effective allocation of resources. Ensure sufficient capacity and capability within departments and strategize on capability or capacity issues;
  • Lead the integration of new acquisitions, inspiring confidence to successfully unite people and processes;
  • Identify opportunities to leverage ABM’s strengths and addressing challenges by monitoring and anticipating industry trends.

As the ideal candidate, you:

  • Bring significant experience in senior leadership, ideally within a service-focused industry with a reputation as for being an excellent collaborator and mentor with demonstrated success in building high performance organizations and successfully leading change to optimize operations.
  • Maximize efficiencies and profitability, by developing the necessary business plans, practices and systems.
  • Are highly effective in managing geographically-dispersed functional teams, ensuring team leaders are engaged drivers of continuous improvement and accountable for meeting performance targets.
  • Can lead a diverse team to anticipate and respond proactively to evolving industry needs, while building business cases for successful acceptance by our ownership group.
