As a Consultant with the Career Transition Practice at KBRS, Cris is skilled and experienced in delivering high-quality professional coaching, education and training to executives and professionals looking for the right career direction and successful job search strategies.
Her background includes a management career with Bell Aliant as a Training Operations Manager, Workforce Development Manager, Change Manager, Advertising Manager and Business Communicator. She is a Certified Life Coach through the Centre for Neuroscience, with a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in post-secondary education from Memorial University and a retired Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
Cris has a passion for life coaching and uses her skills in assessment, education and training, research, communications, coaching and leadership to help clients advance their careers and accomplish their goals. She is a life-long learner who is always looking for new avenues to explore. She has been active in professional organizations, serving as Director of Certification and Education for the Human Resource Professionals of Newfoundland and Labrador (HRPNL) from April 2012 to June 2014. She is also a Past President of the local chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
Cris believes in the importance of giving back to the community and is engaged in a variety of organizations. She is interested in health issues, and serves as a Community Representative on the Provincial Health Research Ethics Board (HREB), and as a Patient Representative and a Member of the Patient Advisory Council with NL Support, Faculty of Medicine. She is also Marketing Chair with the Board of Winterset in Summer Literary Festival.
In her spare time, Cris is an avid reader, an enthusiastic bridge player, and loves to walk the local trails in St. John’s.
