Reporting to the Vice President, Government, and based in either Moncton or Dartmouth, as the Director, Federal Programs, you will play a key leadership role within the organization and be responsible for the strategic management and operational delivery of benefit management programs across our portfolio of federal government clients. Serving as the Contract Authority for MBC’s federal contracts, you will be accountable for the maintenance of contracts, client relationship management, and the ongoing development of new business opportunities for benefit management programs. You will demonstrate your commitment to coaching, development and employee engagement and provide capable leadership to a talented team of over 300 staff. You will guide the federal programs team to greater success through operational accountability and a commitment to MBC’s values and mission.
As the ideal candidate, you bring at least 5 years of experience in managing business operations related to health benefits or insurance claims processing in the public or private sector. You will likely have experience in a complex service-based industry with direct government claims and contract adherence coupled with excellent communication skills. You bring strong business and financial acumen and have proven your ability to quickly learn, navigate and lead complex operations and service contracts in a claims management environment. You are highly strategic, customer service oriented and you are able to inspire, engage and motivate a team of highly successful individuals. You are a natural relationship builder and team leader and are known for your ability to quickly establish trust and instill the confidence of your staff, peers, organizational leadership and clients alike.
