Chief Information Officer

The Chief Information Officer is responsible for all aspects of Information Technology at BF&M. The CIO is accountable for defining and delivering IT strategy and capabilities across the BF&M Group. This includes development and support, infrastructure, security and technical services. The CIO will be responsible for giving oversight and direction to IT and business leaders on IT strategies and opportunities. The CIO is a key contributor to the company’s planning process and will be responsible both for IT operations and for technology and digital transformation. It is critical for the CIO to build strong and productive relationships with all business unit leaders, acting as a true partner and making IT a business enabler. This position requires an individual who is comfortable with both strategic thinking and tactical implementation.

As the ideal candidate, you bring significant, progressive senior IT experience at a complex organization and have held a position of leadership for several years. An advanced degree in computer science, engineering and/or business (MBA) or a related field is preferred. Your IT background provides you with extensive and broad knowledge of technology environments, data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems. As the leader of IT for the company you can direct the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructure that supports the company’s operations and business applications. You have a demonstrated understanding of best practices in the fields of strategic technology planning execution and can advise the senior management team on the emerging technologies that are most relevant to the company's goals and evolving needs. A previous leadership role within a significant IT transformation environment is essential. You’re a leader with broad business acumen and a practical approach to problem solving. Along with a reasoned, respectful and authentic style. Moreover, your talent for fostering a culture of innovation, transparency and accountability in IT helps you to create the skills, attitudes and behaviours needed amongst the team to bring new strategies and initiatives to life.
