Director of Corporate Services

The Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists (NSCP) is the regulatory body for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians licensed to practice within Nova Scotia and of the community pharmacies in which they practice. The NSCP promotes excellence within the pharmacy profession and maintains standards of practice and professional accountability. Under provincial legislation, the College is mandated to govern the practice of pharmacy in Nova Scotia in the interest of the health and well-being of the public.
The Nova Scotia Pharmacy Act has broadened pharmacists’ scope of practice and ability to serve patients, making this is an exciting and transformative time for the profession. During this time of growth and change, the NSCP is seeking its first Director of Corporate Services to join the organization’s senior leadership team.

Reporting directly to the CEO and Registrar, the Director of Corporate Services will be a key member of the leadership team, overseeing the finance, human resource, information technology, communications, registration and administrative functions of the organization. The Director will work to ensure financial strength, assess and manage risk, facilitate the integration of new technologies and policies, and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies. The new Director will also provide strong leadership and mentorship to team members and ensure staff are engaged and aligned with the vision and values of the NSCP.

As the ideal candidate you are a solid operational manager with a designation in accounting who understands how to enable a board governed organization to excel through sound financial, technical,
and systems management. People know you as a financial expert who is also tech savvy. You have a reputation for getting things done, a natural aptitude for identifying opportunities to innovate and create efficiencies, and a proven track record of putting effective policies into practice. Your superior skills to oversee projects, proven ability to lead and collaborate with a team, and consistent pursuit of excellence are what will allow you to excel in this important new role.
