Chief Operations Officer
Vestcor is an independent growth focused organization that provides cost effective investment management services to 9 public sector client groups with approximately $17 billion in assets under management, while also providing specialized pension and employee benefits administration service solutions to 13 client groups representing approximately 90,000 individual members. The organization, made up of more than 140 New-Brunswick based service delivery professionals, operates under a unique not-for-profit business model that is closely aligned with the best interests of its clients.
The newly created position of Chief Operations Officer (COO) reports directly to the President & CEO and is responsible for establishing and delivering on key priorities, identifying opportunities to continuously improve the culture and productivity of the organization’s operations and assisting with pension and benefits stakeholder relations. The COO has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and coordination of all of the pensions and benefits administration activities of the corporation, and for the plans required to address critical enterprise-wide information technology challenges .
As the ideal candidate, you have a strong operational and client service orientation, senior management level experience and knowledge of large and complex pension and benefit programs. You possess a graduate level education and are known as an excellent leader, mentor and coach with demonstrated success in managing diverse stakeholder groups and building teams. You have the ability to build, execute and take ownership of business plans and strategies. You bring a track record of strong communication and networking skills which you can draw upon to build positive relationships with client groups, external service providers, government officials, regulators and industry associations.
French language skills are considered a strong asset.
