FYI: Denise Perret named Deputy Minister of the Department of Health and Wellness, Government of Nova Scotia

Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette is pleased to have assisted the Department of Health and Wellness for the Government of Nova Scotia with the appointment of Denise Perret as the Deputy Minister for the Department.

Previously, Ms. Perret was assistant deputy minister with Alberta Health, were she led the development of the strategic vision for health care in Alberta. She has extensive experience in health organization governance and has managed research and innovation initiatives for Alberta Health.

A former dean of science who has served as Laurier’s provost and vice-president: academic since 2009, MacLatchy will begin her five-year term as president and vice-chancellor on July 1, 2017. She succeeds Max Blouw, who will complete his second five-year term on June 30, 2017.

FYI: University of Ontario appoints Akira Tokuhiro, Dean of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science

Knightsbridge Roberson Surrette is pleased to have assisted the University of Ontario Institute of Technology with the appointment of Dr. Akira Tokuhiro as Dean of the Faculty of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science, effective March, 2017.

Dr. Tokuhiro is a noted international expert in all aspects of nuclear reactor engineering, design and safety. He served on the American Nuclear Society's President's Committee on the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident in Japan, and was technical co-author of a book on the accident.
