Lauren is skilled in creating ideal matches between organizations and talented individuals. Her enthusiasm for research and human resources is evident in her work as a Recruitment Specialist with Meridia Recruitment Solutions, a Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette company.
Lauren began her recruitment career as a part of the Executive Search team with Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette. She now lends her thoughtful approach to Meridia with a focus on Sales, Marketing & Customer Care roles. Lauren has a strong sense of delivering meaningful client service through attention to detail, a skill she fine-tuned working for one Atlantic Canada's largest law firms. Coupled with an educational background in human resources and industrial anthropology, she understands the importance of finding the right talent and the right fit for any organization.
A graduate of Dalhousie University, Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Sociology and Social Anthropology with a minor in Law & Society. During her time at Dalhousie, she served as a Marketing Teaching Assistant for three years within the Rowe School of Business. Following her undergraduate degree, Lauren completed the Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management from NSCC Waterfront Campus. At NSCC Lauren was actively involved as a representative of the Student Association and the Student Ambassadors, contributing to the development of student engagement initiatives and building brand awareness for the college.
In her spare time, Lauren is actively involved in the local music and arts scene, playing drums and percussion for more than 10 years in various bands throughout Halifax. Albums that she has been featured on in the last year have been nominated for Music Nova Scotia and East Coast Music Association awards.
