Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette, Atlantic Canada’s leading recruitment and HR consulting firm, reached a major milestone in the Firm’s leadership succession plan with the announcement that Managing Partners and co-owners – Kevin Stoddart, Anna Stuart, and Jeff Forbes – have assumed full ownership of the Firm as of February 1, 2017.
“This change is a part of a collaborative succession planning process that began more than a decade ago with co-founder and then co-owner Mark Surrette,” stated Jeff Forbes, President and Managing Partner. “Just as we advise the leaders and organizations we work with, we have taken deliberate steps to ensure Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette is well positioned to continue to provide innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges for many more decades ahead.”
Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette has more than doubled in size since 2005. Today its team includes more than 60 professionals practicing in the areas of executive search, contingency recruitment and contract staffing (through Meridia Recruitment Solutions), career transition and HR consulting. A market leader in Atlantic Canada since 1975, in recent years the Firm has established a strong presence for its national academic executive search practice; expanded the services and geographic reach of Meridia; welcomed a growing number of senior partners, advisors, and experienced consultants; and forged a strong partnership with a global leader in career transition, talent development and recruitment – Lee Hecht Harrison Knightsbridge.
“We are grateful for all Mark has done since he first became owner more than three decades ago. Our team shares his passion for building stronger organizations through stronger people. Our commitment to uphold our values and deliver excellent service remains as steadfast today, as it was when the organization was founded. These values continue to inform the advice we provide clients and candidates, and to steer our plans for the future,” stated Forbes.
Two years ago, in January of 2015, Mark Surrette transitioned out of the role of President with Anna, Jeff and Kevin, his fellow co-owners and Managing Partners, taking on full leadership responsibility for the Firm and its continued growth and diversification.
“I will continue to lead the searches I am actively involved with and will remain close to the business,” said Mark Surrette. “With a strong leadership team in place and a bright future ahead, the timing was right to take this next step in our leadership succession plan. It’s exciting to see a strong plan put into practice.”
