Jeff Forbes, President and Managing Partner, Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette, is pleased to have assisted the Halifax Partnership with the appointment of Ron Hanlon, President and CEO.
Ron Hanlon is an accomplished business leader with over 20 years of experience in executive and senior management roles within the private sector. He comes to the Partnership with extensive experience in business development, sales and marketing and holds a Professional Engineer designation.
Before Ron joined the Partnership, he was President and CEO of Price Mechanical (PMI) in Minnesota, Minneapolis. PMI is an independent wholly owned subsidiary of Price Industries, a leading North American Air Distribution company in Minnesota.
From 1997 – 2013, Ron held various leading roles at McQuay International (a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd.), a global corporation that designs, manufactures and sells heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) products and systems. Early on, Ron was responsible for quality assurance and service management and was quickly promoted to Vice President and General Manager. In this role, Ron and his team grew the company to be a profitable growing leader in chiller technology. In 2007, Ron was promoted to President and CEO and led the merger of Daikin Industries and McQuay International and was responsible of all day-to-day business operations of the North American businesses.
A native of Halifax and a graduate from Saint Mary’s University, Ron recently returned to Nova Scotia where his experience will be an asset as the Partnership focuses on strengthening private sector leadership, engagement and investment in Halifax’s economic growth.
