Mark Surrette, President, Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette, is pleased to have assisted Alcool NB Liquor (ANBL) with the appointment of Brian Harriman, President and CEO.
Most recently the Canadian Vice President of Sales for Diageo, Brian has held several progressively senior leadership positions during his 13 years in the retail liquor industry, including Vice President Market Development – Atlantic for Molson Coors Canada. He has a strong track record for developing strong, results oriented teams to support growth and realize organizational goals.
"We are pleased that this hiring process brought forward an excellent candidate who understands the liquor industry and will surely be an asset to the corporation," said Ron Lindala, board chair at ANBL. "I look forward to working with Mr. Harriman to strengthen NB Liquor for the benefit of the shareholders, staff and customers."
The appointment is a result of the first public recruiting process for the position in the history of ANBL. The 2011 ANBL Report to Cabinet recommended that a public hiring process be used to select the president and chief executive officer.
“This is a historic appointment, and we are proud to be the government that has introduced an open and transparent recruitment process to the selection of this important role at NB Liquor,” said Premier David Alward.
Brian is originally from Miramichi and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Mount Allison University. Fluently bilingual, he has happily returned to Atlantic Canada where he first began his career.
Please join us in congratulating Brian Harriman on his new role and welcoming him back to New Brunswick.
