At Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette (KBRS), we believe building great companies is tied to building great communities. The success we have as a company is possible thanks to the continued support of the communities we serve across Atlantic Canada. That’s the reason why our diverse team contributes to dozens of community boards and charities every day.

An example of KBRS community involvement is our commitment to Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation that supports the province’s only pediatric hospital in Newfoundland and Labrador -investing in the health care of our children.

As the Volunteer Chair to the Board of Directors, Lloyd Powell, Partner with KBRS, oversees various community fundraising events for the Foundation and provides HR advice and volunteer recruitment services to the Foundation.

Lloyd was involved with the 7th Annual Janeway G.I.F.T for Kids Charity Golf Tournament & Helicopter Ball Drop which raised over $135,000 – a huge success for a one-day event! Tickets for the helicopter ball drop were sold in advance at Sobeys, Dominion and SaveEasy stores (grand prize was a trip for two sponsored by Air Canada) - over $94,000 was raised in golf ball ticket sales alone.

Congratulations to the Janeway board members, staff and the dozens of other volunteers who made this event a tremendous success for the children of Newfoundland and Labrador!
