The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Technology Industries (NATI) is a not-for-profit industry association representing the province's technology sector. NATI’s mission is to help grow and support the technology industry, and to support our member companies with the resources and advocacy needed to help them be successful. Our goal is to double the size of the sector by 2025. NATI provides leadership to the technology sector through funding programs, networking opportiunities, education, promotion, trade initiaties and advocacy activities. We work to connect key players in the industry through regular industry communications. Support for the development and growth of local technology companies, as well as assistance in identification, engagement and development of export opportunities is key to our mission. This means providing strong representation of the advanced technology industry on key challenges and issues impacting our members.
We are currently seeking our next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO provides executive leadership and management for the organization’s strategic plan, administration, programs and services and plays a vital role in assuring our success. As a strategic and collaborative leader, the CEO is tasked with forging lasting relationships with and amongst members of the technology industry. Supported by a strong senior management team, the CEO will focus their attention on growth of the organization’s memberships, diversification and growth of revenues, growth of the sector, support for members success, advocacy and the sustainable development of Newfoundland and Labrador’s technology industry. Strengthening the operations, the CEO is responsible for attaining the goals and objectives set by the Board of Directors, within its established mandate, policies, budget and to ensure future sustainability of the organization.
As the ideal candidate, you have leadership experience, not-for-profit experience (as staff and/or Director) and also bring demonstrated business success and have a passion for the technology sector in Newfoundland and Labrador. Proactive and energetic, you anticipate and understand trends, problems and opportunities and successfully interpret them for the organization’s effectiveness. Your demonstrated dynamism, passion and ability to inspire, as well as your superior stakeholder and relationship building expertise, will contribute to guiding the success of NATI’s vision, strategy and objectives. With a growth minded vision, you are experienced in working with Boards, have a high level understanding of financial statements, are able to manage many complex tasks and projects simultanuously, and your excellent communication skills are evident through achieved results. Your prepared and credible demeanour allow you to be confident interacting with media, including radio and television forums, as well as internal and culturally diverse stakeholders.
