The Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) is Canada’s largest offshore petroleum association. With almost 600 member companies providing products and services to the petroleum industry, Noia is a highly recognized and respected name in the worldwide oil and gas sector.  Noia is proud to celebrate 40 years of representing the province’s offshore supply and service sector.


The Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) is currently seeking an experienced senior leader to join their team as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.


Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO provides executive leadership and management for the organization’s strategic plan, administration, programs and services and plays a vital role in assuring Noia’s success. As a strategic and collaborative leader, the CEO is tasked with forging lasting relationships with and amongst members of the oil and gas industry. Supported by a strong senior management team, the CEO will focus their attention on advocacy for its members and the sustainable development of Newfoundland and Labrador’s oil and gas industry. Strengthening the operations of Noia, the CEO is responsible for attaining the goals and objectives set by the Board of Directors, within its established mandate, policies and budget.


As the ideal candidate, you not only have experience in a not-for-profit setting but you also bring demonstrated business experience and have a passion for the energy sector in Newfoundland and Labrador. Proactive and energetic, you anticipate and understand trends, problems and opportunities and successfully interpret them for the organization’s effectiveness. Your demonstrated dynamism, passion and ability to inspire, as well as your superior stakeholder and relationship building expertise, will contribute to guiding the success of Noia’s vision, strategy and objectives. A strong administrator, you are comfortable in a boardroom, reading financial statements, directing multiple projects, planning events and your excellent communication skills are evident through achieved results. Your prepared and credible demeanour allow you to be confident interacting with media, including radio and television forums. You have a minimum of 5 years senior leadership experience and hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field.
